The origins of Apocalypse Blue
Apocalypse Blue was inspired by a series of dreams Thomas had early in his childhood. The exact year is not known of it’s first appearance, however the first drawings made of several of the characters appeared in 1998 in a series of paper-cards accompanied by a Bestiary with small samples of information about each creature and character.
The character with the most dramatic changes since his first drawing in 1998, Hydra, stands as the stories iconic and most recognisable character.
The story was originally drafted in 2015 but was scrapped in 2018 after Thomas once again had a new series of dreams that, in his opinion, tell a far more interesting story. It’s original concept told the tale of several Humans working together with the Animals of the Zodiac, that once lay trapped in statues, in stopping the corrupted Snake Spirit from destroying the planet in his quest for power, after he ate the Dragon Spirit. This version of the story was deemed too confusing.

Story Brief (Release Date TBC)
One Trans-man’s life is changed forever after he becomes the sole survivor of a plane-crash, and remains stranded on a desert island. On the island, he finds a strange shrine, adorned in mythical creature statues, and dismantles it in order to build a raft. The spirits of the shrine awaken from his disrespect, and curse him; his body, transformed a second time, but into that of a dragon.
However, the evil spirits that had also been imprisoned in the shrine were freed once it had been dismantled, and a great horror roams the Earth seeking to conquer it once again…the King of Dragons, Hydra. Can the Trans-man correct the damage he has done and lift his curse, or will he be doomed to remain a Dragon and witness the end of Humanity?
